Day 1: Arrival at Rovaniemi

Arrival at Rovaniemi, the official hometown of Santa Claus ─ Rovaniemi Airport transfer. Hotel check-in. In the evening, experience the northern lights chase tour by minivan. Get picked up from your accommodation by an experienced local wilderness guide with extensive knowledge of Lapland and the Northern Lights. Head out to hunt for the Auroras far away from the city’s light pollution and get dropped off back at your accommodation after the tour.

Day 2: Rovaniemi

Visit Santa’s Village and snowmobile to a reindeer farm. Come and discover the secrets of Santa Claus and his trusted helpers! Meet Mr. Father Christmas himself, visit Santa’s Official Post Office, and do some shopping. Afterwards, we head for the snowmobiles and drive to a local reindeer farm. Meet the reindeer and take part in a special “Crossing of the Arctic Circle” ceremony. After a splendid day, we return back to the city by snowmobiles. A Crossing the Arctic Circle Certificate is given to you as a gift at the end of the safari.

Day 3: Rovaniemi. Visit Ranua Wildlife Park

Located just one hour away from Rovaniemi, the Ranua Wildlife Park is the northernmost wildlife park in the world and home to around 50 Arctic animal species. Enjoy this guided trip from Rovaniemi to the Ranua Wildlife Park to find Arctic animals: bears, wolves, predatory birds, lynxes, wolverines, foxes, and more. This is a rare opportunity to meet the local animals that reside in Lapland and other parts of the Arctic. As you walk around the park, your guide will share their knowledge of the animals and other aspects of life in Lapland.

Day 4: Rovaniemi

Feel your heart race during a husky safari as you ride with speeding dogs through the pristine winter forest of the Arctic Circle! Friendly barks of the huskies welcome you to the local farm, but as soon as the safari departs, the dogs quiet down and focus on the journey. Enjoy the surrounding nature and the peaceful sledge ride in silence. Stop for a break in the wilderness and take photos.

Optional: Stay in a glass igloo in Rovaniemi.

Day 5: Rovaniemi to Helsinki.

Take the flight to Helsinki. Airport transfers.

Begin your day with a relaxed morning before your smooth transition from the magical Arctic Circle to the vibrant capital of Finland. Wander through the romantic Old Town, visit small boutiques, stop for a cup of coffee at one of the cozy cafés, or enjoy a pint in a traditional beer cellar. Soak in the festive atmosphere of the Christmas markets (seasonal), and discover the trendy districts of Kalamaja and Noblessner, known for their unique sights, local shops, and vibrant restaurant scene. In the evening, return by ferry to Helsinki.

Day 7: Helsinki

Take the SIC (Seat-in-Coach) city sightseeing walking tour and discover the main highlights of Helsinki, including Helsingin Tuomiokirkko (Helsinki Cathedral), Market Square, Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church), Uspenskin Cathedral, and Sibelius Park. Stroll through the historic quarters between Market Square and Senate Square, home to numerous charming cafés and restaurants.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, check out from hotel. Airport transfer. End your Finnish winter experience with wonderful memories!
