Planning Your Trip
How far in advance should I book?
For truly bespoke holidays, we recommend arranging your plans at least 3–6 months in advance, and ideally 9–12 months ahead for peak seasons. Booking early ensures access to the finest accommodations and experiences, allowing every detail to meet your expectations, though last-minute trips are possible and we’ll always be upfront about availability.
Do you offer set packages or fully bespoke trips?
All our holidays are tailor-made. We can start from scratch or use one of our suggested itineraries as a base—it’s 100% flexible.
Can I combine multiple countries in one trip?
Absolutely. It’s very popular to combine, for example, Norway and Sweden or Iceland and Finland. We’ll handle all the logistics for a seamless experience.
How does the planning process work?
Simple: Tell us your interests and dates, we’ll send suggestions and a quote, and once you’re happy—we book it all. You’ll have one point of contact from start to finish.
Is there a fee for your planning service?
Our planning and support are included in the cost of your holiday. No hidden fees, no surprises.
Pricing & Payments
Are your online prices final? Or will the quote be higher?
The prices listed online are a starting guide. Your final quote may vary slightly depending on travel dates and preferences, but we always aim to stay within the range. Transparency is key.
How do I pay for my holiday?
We accept bank transfers and most major credit cards. A deposit is usually required to confirm your booking, with the balance due closer to departure.
Are flights included in your prices?
All flights originating in the UK are included in the price unless otherwise noted.
Is my money protected?
Yes—your holiday is financially protected under our licensing and bonding arrangements. We’re also happy to walk you through the details for peace of mind.
Accommodation & Experiences
What standard of accommodation do you use?
We focus on 4-star comfort with charm—think boutique hotels, lakeside lodges, and stylish city stays. We avoid big chains in favour of places with character.
Can I upgrade to 5-star or luxury options?
Absolutely. Let us know your preferences and we’ll tailor accordingly.
Will we have free time or is everything scheduled?
We strike a balance between planned experiences and downtime. You can be as busy or relaxed as you like—it’s your holiday, after all.
Are guides included?
Yes, when needed. Some days are guided (like wildlife tours), others are self-paced. Every trip includes clear instructions, contacts, and 24/7 support.
Travel Logistics
Do I need a visa for the Nordics?
UK and EU passport holders don’t need visas for short stays. If you’re from outside these areas, we’ll help guide you through requirements.
Can you help with airport transfers and train tickets?
Definitely. All your internal travel—cars, trains, ferries, airport pickups—is taken care of in your itinerary.
What kind of support do I get during the trip?
We offer 24/7 on-trip assistance. Whether it’s a delayed train or a last-minute change, we’re just a message or phone call away.
What if I have mobility issues?
Let us know early on and we’ll make sure the accommodations, transfers, and experiences are all accessible and appropriate.
Seasons & Weather
What’s the best time to visit the Nordics?
Summer (May–August) is perfect for long days, mild weather, and lush landscapes. Winter (December–March) is great for snow, Northern Lights, and festive charm. Shoulder seasons offer fewer crowds and better value.
Will it be very cold in winter?
Yes—but in a good way. It’s a dry, crisp cold. Our trips are designed with comfort in mind, and we’ll advise on what to pack.
Can I see the Northern Lights on any trip?
Only in winter and only in certain regions. We’ll let you know if your chosen destination gives you a good chance—or recommend places that do.
