Day 1 - Welcome to Norway

Arrive in the charming town of Svolvær, the unofficial capital of Lofoten. After picking up your rental car, check in to your accommodation and explore the vibrant harbor lined with art galleries, cafés, and fishing boats. Take a walk to the iconic Svolværgeita (“The Goat”) rock formation or enjoy a relaxed dinner by the sea. It’s the perfect introduction to the slow pace and stunning scenery that define the islands.

Day 2 - Hike Preikestolen

Begin your day exploring the northern parts of Lofoten with a drive to Henningsvær, often called the “Venice of the North.” Stroll its charming streets, visit local craft shops, and enjoy coffee in a waterfront café. Continue to Gimsøy, home to windswept beaches and photogenic churches, and enjoy optional activities like sea kayaking or horseback riding. The long summer daylight gives you ample time to experience the magic of the Arctic.

Day 3 - Kjerag Adventure

Today, embark on an unforgettable sea adventure (optional RIB boat tour) to Trollfjorden — one of Lofoten’s most famous and narrow fjords. En route, keep your eyes open for sea eagles and dramatic rock walls rising from the sea. After the boat trip, return to Svolvær or explore nearby villages. This day blends thrill, nature, and unique maritime heritage.

Day 4 - Head to Lofthus

Head west along the E10, stopping at the Lofotr Viking Museum in Borg, where you can step into a reconstructed chieftain’s longhouse and learn about the region’s Viking roots. Continue to Flakstad and Ramberg, known for their white-sand beaches and red fishermen’s huts. In the evening, take a scenic walk under the midnight sun — a truly surreal experience in the Arctic summer.

Day 5 - Spend the night on Top of Trolltunga

Enjoy one of the most scenic drives in Norway as you make your way to Reine. Along the way, stop in Nusfjord — a beautifully preserved fishing village — and take in panoramic views from Hamnøy. Arrive in Reine and settle into your rorbu (traditional fisherman’s cabin). This is where postcard views of Lofoten come to life, with dramatic peaks rising straight from the fjord.

Day 6 - Welcome to Bergen

This day is yours to explore Reine and its surroundings at your own pace. Hike the famous Reinebringen trail for epic aerial views (weather permitting), kayak in the crystal-clear waters, or simply relax with coffee and pastries in a scenic café. Optional local boat tours or cultural walks are available. Reine’s peaceful charm will stay with you long after your journey ends.

Day 7 - Safe Travels

After breakfast, begin your journey back toward the mainland. Depending on your next destination, you may return to Svolvær or take the ferry from Moskenes. Along the way, reflect on the unforgettable landscapes, stories, and freedom this Arctic adventure offered. Until next time — Lofoten will be waiting.

Please note that this tour is available from May to September, when weather and road conditions allow for the most comfortable travel. Prices are per person based on two travelers sharing. Car type is standard manual unless otherwise requested; automatic upgrades may be available at additional cost. Activities mentioned are suggestions; most are self-guided unless specified.
